"Rain Cloud", 2018. Ceramic jugs, nylon monofilament, stainless-steel cable, metal grid, metal swivel (the latter three elements not depicted); dimensions of "cloud" 75cm H x 150cm W x 75cm D

Suspended from a horizontal metal grid, itself suspended from a single cable on a swivel, the white jugs of "Rain Cloud" form an aerial mass that rotates in the air above the viewer. Exhibited in "Elevating the Everyday" at the Town Hall Gallery in 2018, "Rain Cloud" was a response to the artist's long-term, instinctive but unfocussed collecting of small white jugs, and an answer to the question "What can they do?". The everyday, elevated, indeed!
